Blair, NE : 1 injured in 2-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 30 at Industrial Park Drive in Blair on Friday, 25th January 2019

One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 30 at Industrial Park Drive in Blair.

Blair police and Blair Fire and Rescue responded to the crash at approximately 1:13 p.m.

According to a report, a 2019 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by Colin J. Kennedy, 17, of Fremont was stopped at the intersection, while a 2016 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Jennifer J. Hall, 34, of Fort Calhoun was eastbound on U.S. 30 approaching the intersection.

Kennedy attempted to turn left, but didn't see Hall's vehicle coming toward him. The Elantra struck the driver's side of the pickup truck. Airbags deployed in both vehicles and both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The Elantra was totaled, while the truck sustained an estimated $4,000 in damage.

Hall was transported to Memorial Community Hospital and Health System with possible neck injuries.

Kennedy was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
