NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI : Driver charged with DUI in fatal bicycle crash in North Kingstown to face judge on Thursday, 20th June 2024

A bike ride on a summer evening ended with a tragic crash in North Kingstown on Thursday.

North Kingstown police said 53-year-old Linda Sherman was killed when she was struck by a truck at the intersection of Boston Neck Road and Earle Street in Saunderstown.

Saunderstown is a village in North Kingstown.

North Kingstown police said Sherman, who lived just a few blocks from where she died, was riding her three-wheeled bike in the breakdown lane when she was struck from behind.

NBC 10 News arrived at the scene Thursday to find her blue tricycle crushed, and police arresting a man.
