Defiance, OH : Defiance man killed in Williams County crash on Sunday September 4 2016

A Defiance man was killed Sunday afternoon in a Williams County crash.

Ronald Wolfrum, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Williams County Coroner Dr. Kevin Park. His passenger, Amanda Fraley, 33, Defiance, was taken by air ambulance to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, where she was listed in critical condition on Monday.

According to the Defiance post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, at 12:10 p.m., Wolfrum’s vehicle was westbound on Ohio 34 and left the roadway, overturning several times.

Wolfrum and Fraley were ejected from the vehicle.

Troopers reported that neither occupant was wearing a safety belt prior to the crash and alcohol does appear to be a factor.

Assisting at the scene were the Springfield Township Fire Department and Williams County EMS.

The crash remains under investigation.
