Emlenton, PA : Westbound lane of I-80 still closed by truck crash in Clinton Township, Venango County on Wednesday, November 12, 2014
One westbound lane of Interstate 80 remained closed in western Pennsylvania, hours after two tractor-trailers crashed, cutting one of the vehicles in half.
State police have yet to release details of the wreck, which occurred about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday in Clinton Township, Venango County. But police say there were no serious injuries reported, despite the violence of the crash.
Most of the wreckage had been moved to the side of the highway about eight hours after the crash. But a lane remained closed as auto wreckers worked to remove the mangled vehicles.
Police say one truck overturned and the trailer of one was split in half when the second truck drove through it. It was not immediately clear what the trucks were hauling or who owned them.
