Eleven children and three adults were hurt Wednesday morning in two separate Philadelphia bus crashes, authorities said. Ten children in Northeast Philadelphia were taken to hospitals for minor injuries after their school bus struck a parked SUV, resulting in a chain reaction with three more parked vehicles, police said. The bus was carrying 22 students. Police were also investigating an unrelated school bus crash in Southwest Philadelphia, they said. Preliminary information indicated that that bus was not transporting students, but that one child was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and three adults were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, police said.
