West Point, MS : Clay County man killed after struck by vehicle on Friday November 27 2015

Police say a Clay County man has been killed after stepping into traffic.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal 65-year-old Clarence D. Chandler was struck by a vehicle on U.S. Highway 45A after stepping directly into the path of an incoming vehicle.
The driver told police she was traveling north around 2 a.m. on Thanksgiving when Chandler suddenly stepped into the highway.
Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear why he was walking near the highway.
No charges have been filed and the incident is still under investigation.
