SPAULDING TWP, MI : Burt man dies in Spaulding Twp crash on Wednesday, 20th March 2024

A 38-year-old Burt man was killed in a crash in Spaulding Township Wednesday morning, March 20, according to Michigan State Police (MSP).

MSP troopers were dispatched to a serious crash on M-13 (East Road) near W. Townline Road in Spaulding Township at 6:40 a.m. on Wednesday, MSP said.

MSP said preliminary investigation indicates a 38-year-old man, of Burt, was driving north on M-13 when he lost control of his vehicle due to excessive speed. He entered the southbound lanes and was struck by a vehicle driving south.

According to MSP, both vehicles caught fire, and the Burt man died due to his injuries.
