Quincy,IL: Man arrested on aggravated DUI, other charges after crash involving children on November, Wednesday 1st 2017
A Quincy man is facing multiple charges after a Wednesday afternoon crash on Gardner Expressway.
Quincy Police reported that Eric Strieker, 29, was driving a 2006 Jeep Wrangler north on the expressway when he allegedly lost control near Jackson, and the vehicle started to slide. Police say the vehicle went over the concrete median into the southbound lane and flipped onto the driver side.
The report said Strieker was found to be under the influence of alcohol, and two small children who were with him allegedly were not in car seats.
Quincy Police, the Quincy Fire Department and the Adams County Ambulance Service responded to the crash, and Strieker and the children were treated at the scene.
Strieker was arrested on charges of aggravated DUI, driving while license revoked, obstructing justice, endangering the life of a child, child restraint violation, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He is being held in the Adams County jail pending a court appearance.
