The Northwest Florida Daily News - Nobody cared. Maybe they'll care now. The March 20 barge mishap was a wake-up call. Residents realized that one accident at one bridge could cut off Fort Walton Beach from Okaloosa Island and cause escalating transportation and economic headaches.
