DONALDSONVILLE, LA : Bicyclist hit and killed overnight in Ascension Parish on Monday 1st May 2023

Macarthur Williams Jr., 53, of Donaldsonville was killed while riding his bike on LA 1. The deadly crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, May 1.
Prior to the crash, “Williams was riding his bicycle along the fog line as he was headed north
on LA 1,” according to the Louisiana State Police. LSP said that a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado was also heading in the same direction when it hit the bicycle from behind.
