Greenbank, WA : Five injured in three-car crash on Highway 525 on Whidbey Island Saturday afternoon on September 6, 2014
Five people were injured Saturday afternoon in a three-car crash on Highway 525 on Whidbey Island.
The crash was reported at 1:39 p.m. two miles south of Greenbank. A car driven by a 70-year-old Seattle man was northbound when it crossed the center line, striking two southbound cars, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Four people were riding in the second southbound car. All were transported to Whidbey General Hospital. The Seattle driver also was hospitalized at the Coupeville hospital.
Washington State Patrol trooper Mark Francis said in a Twitter post that no one was seriously hurt.
He said the collision was caused by distracted driving.
