BULLHEAD CITY, AZ : Car crashes into home on Harbor Place on Saturday, March 4th 2017
A woman and her small child suffered minor injuries Saturday after a car crashed through a wall of their home, officials say.
The injuries to the victims were scrapes and bruises that were treated on the scene, said Sgt. Tom Ferris, Bullhead City Police Department spokesman. No other injuries were reported.
Mari Bel Mendoza, 35, was reportedly driving on Marina Boulevard when she lost control of the vehicle, Ferris said Sunday. The victims were asleep on a bed in the room at the back of the home in the 300 block of Harbor Place when the vehicle crashed through the wall.
Mendoza was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, slightest degree, possession of an open container in a vehicle, endangerment, criminal damage and operation of a vehicle in violation of a restriction.
Mendoza was also arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear and was booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
