Phillipston, PA : Authorities identify the two people killed in wrong-way, head-on crash on Route 2 in Phillipston on Tuesday, 3rd August 2021

Massachusetts State Police on Thursday identified 24-year-old Alysha Rentas of Athol and 26-year-old Michael Barrett of Westford as the victims in a fatal wrong-way, head-on crash on Route 2 in Phillipston that took place Tuesday night.

According to officials, Rentas was driving a 2014 Chevy Sonic that was traveling westbound in the wrong lane on Route 2 in Phillipston shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday when it collided with a 2018 Ford Escape being driven by Barrett.
