MEMPHIS, TN : MPD officer injured in crash on Tuesday, 20th March 2018

A Memphis police officer was taken to the hospital after investigators said someone rammed into his vehicle.

The crash happened while the officer was heading to a raid at Winchester Road and Mendenhall Road.

Officers said a 21-year-old man, later identified as Orestes Carmicle, was detained after the collision.

Carmicle is charged with aggravated assault and reckless driving.
