NEWPORT, WA : 17-year-old girl dies after crash near Newport on Sunday, 20th October 2024

A 17-year-old girl died in a crash after she rolled into a ditch and was ejected from the car.

The Washington State Patrol said that on Sunday Oct. around 1:30 p.m., the teen was driving south on Highway 2 southwest of Newport when she crossed the median.

After crossing the median, she entered the northbound lane and began to roll. Her car landed in a ditch near the northbound lanes after she was ejected.
