Fort Branch,IN : Woman killed in Gibson County crash on August, Thursday 3rd 2017

A fatal two-vehicle crash closed a stretch of Indiana 168 near Interstate 69 for several hours Thursday morning in Fort Branch.

Police believe a passenger car headed east on Indiana 168 crossed the center line and hit a concrete truck going the opposite direction around 6:30 a.m. Gibson County Sheriff Timothy Bottoms said the crash killed the driver of the passenger car.

Ashley Bosecker, 32, Newburgh, died at the scene, Bottoms said.

The truck driver reported arm pain but no serious injuries. There were no other passengers in either car, Bottoms said.

Indiana 168 reopened shortly before 11 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office. The crash is still under investigation.
