Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are currently on scene of a fatal collision on the Edisto River Bridge.
One person is dead and several others are injured, after two cars ran into each other on bridge.
According to police, the driver in Jeep Cherokee crossed into the opposite lane, crashing into a Chevy impala.
The driver of the Chevy impala, and a child were taken to the hospital with injuries. The passenger of the Chevy impala was pronounced dead at the scene, they say.
Officials say the driver of the jeep Cherokee was also treated for injures.
