Sacramento, CA : Pedestrian injured in collision at the intersection of California Avenue and South China Lake Boulevard on Wednesday, 11th December, 2019

A teenage woman riding a motorized scooter was transported to an out-of-area hospital late Wednesday afternoon after she was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of California Avenue and South China Lake Boulevard.

According to Ridgecrest Police Department, the woman suffered from major injuries due to the collision with a white sedan at the crosswalk while it was turning on to China Lake Boulevard.

Liberty Ambulance EMTs and Kern County Engine 74 firefighters immediately responded and provided treatment at the accident scene, applying a temporary cast to one of the patient’s legs before transferring her to the waiting ambulance.
