Two motorists were hospitalized and Interstate 275 in Sharonville was closed after a wrong-way crash on the roadway early Tuesday.
A silver-colored Hyundai reported traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes struck a white box truck about 2:45 a.m., Sharonville police said.
The crash occurred between the Mostellar Road and US-42 exits.
Both drivers were hospitalized at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The driver of the Hyundai, a 23-year-old female, was flown to University of Cincinnati Medical Center by medical helicopter.
The names of the drivers haven't been released.
Authorities said the road should reopen in time to accommodate morning rush hour commuters. The road was still closed as of 6:30 a.m.The crash is at least the third wrong-way collision on a Greater Cincinnati interstate this year.
In April, three people were killed in a wrong-way crash in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 near, near mile marker 13.2.
One man was killed in a wrong-way crash on I-71 near Dana Avenue early Feb 17 morning. Taryn Chin, 22, was sentenced last week to 3 years in prison in that incident.
