North Platte, NE : 61-year-old woman died after car collided with a semitrailer east of Lake Maloney on Wednesday, March 18, 2015

Authorities say a 61-year-old North Platte woman has died in a hospital after her car collided with a semitrailer.

The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday just east of Lake Maloney. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office says the eastbound car was hit by the southbound semitrailer as the car driver tried to turn north onto U.S. Highway 83 from North Lake Road.

The truck driver was not hurt. The car driver was taken to Great Plains Health hospital in North Platte and pronounced dead there.

She was identified as Celestina "Tina" Mohr.
