Delmont,PA : Three hurt and one critically in tractor-trailer crash that closed US Route 22 in western Pennsylvania on Tuesday ,June 30th 2015

Three people have been hurt, one critically, when a tractor-trailer overturned and crashed into a pickup truck on a busy western Pennsylvania highway.

U.S. Route 22 remained closed in both directions nearly four hours after the crash near the cloverleaf in Delmont, where the highway intersects with state Route 66.

State police were investigating the crash about 6:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Emergency responders say the pickup truck driver was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital in critical condition. The tractor-trailer driver wasn't hurt. Two other people were hurt, but the extent of their injuries and how they were injured wasn't immediately known, but a heavily damaged car was also seen at the intersection.

Police have kept traffic moving by diverting it around the crash onto business parking lots on either side of the highway.
