ARKANSAS CITY, KS : 1 killed, 1 critically hurt in crash near Arkansas City on Friday, 20th September 2024

A 21-year-old woman is dead and a man is critically hurt after a single-vehicle crash in Cowley County on Friday morning.

The Cowley County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to the 32000 block of 61st Road for a roll-over accident.

Deputies at the scene found a white 2012 Nissan was traveling north on 61st Road and lost control, went into the east ditch and rolled several times.

Authorities say 21-year-old Maleah Shae Archer of Arkansas City was ejected from the car and died at the scene.
