Columbus, OH : Passenger critically injured in Cadiz Road crash on Saturday, November 12th 2016

A passenger in a pickup truck was critically injured in a crash on Saturday afternoon and taken by MedFlight to a medical facility in Columbus.

The investigation by the Cambridge post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol was continuing at press time Saturday and full details were not immediately available.

However, preliminary reports indicated that a Dodge Ram extended cab truck was westbound at about 3:27 p.m. on Cadiz Road near Shipley Road in Londonderry Township when it went off the north side of the road, Tpr. Charles McDonnell said.

The truck struck several trees and a utility pole, he said. In the process, the female passenger suffered partial amputation of her right arm.

Personnel from the Antrim Volunteer Fire Department and United Ambulance responded to the scene and MedFlight was summoned to take her to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

The driver of truck was apparently uninjured and refused transportation to a medical facility.
