Hilton Head, SC : Man arrested after attempting to flee fatal crash on April, Friday 14th 2017

A man has been arrested after attempting to flee the scene of a fatal crash Friday evening.
According to Bluffton Police Department Major Joseph Manning, a three-car crash occurred shortly after 5 p.m. on River Road at the Rose Dhu neighborhood.
One driver tried to flee on foot, but was apprehended with the help of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
Another driver was killed in the three-vehicle collision and the third was taken to the Savannah Memorial Hospital, where Manning said they were listed as critical condition early in the evening.
May River Road was closed between Buckwalter Parkway and Gibbett Road until around 10:30 p.m. while police investigated. According to Manning, the cause has not yet been determined.
“This is going to be a very long investigation,” he said. “There was a lot of debris at the crime scene. It will take a while before they come up with a cause.”
The Collision Reconstruction Team and criminal investigators are still going over charges.
