GREENFIELD, NY : Three injured in DWI crash on Saturday, 24th September 2016

A drunken driver and his two passengers were sent to the hospital after a crash early Saturday, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Seaver P. Higgins, 22, of Mechanicville, was charged with DWI after the incident. Records didn’t show whether it was a felony or misdemeanor charge.

The crash occurred just before 4:43 a.m. Saturday, deputies said.

Higgins was traveling north on Route 9N when he began to drive along the right edge of the road. He hit several mailboxes, a fence, shrubs, boulders and a utility pole, according to the sheriff’s office.

His Jeep Liberty rolled several times and crashed into a building, injuring him and his two passengers, a 21-year-old and a 23-year-old, also from Mechanicville. All three were taken to Saratoga Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
