INDIANAPOLIS, IN : 1 dead in crash involving motorcycle on east side on Wednesday, 13th September 2023

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle that killed one person Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to E. Washington Street and N. Post Road around 6:29 a.m. The adult male motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries.

The driver of the SUV was transported to an area hospital for a blood draw, which is standard procedure for crashes involving death. The passenger was also transported to an area hospital for a complaint of pain.

Investigators said traffic was impacted at the intersection for several hours after the crash
