2 injured in head-on crash in Milwaukie

A man and a woman in separate vehicles were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash in Milwaukie Friday, police say.

The crash was reported about 7:40 p.m. near the 5800 block of Southeast Johnson Creek Boulevard and no other people were in the two vehicles besides the drivers, said Officer Ulli Neitch, a Milwaukie police spokeswoman. Police did not release the identities of the driver or their conditions on Saturday.

Alcohol appears to have been a factor in the crash, Neitch said, but the official cause is still under investigation.
