Bushnell, FL : 1 killed, 2 critical after head-on crash in Sumter County on Tuesday morning, March 14, 2017

A 92-year-old passenger was killed and two elderly drivers are in critical condition after a head-on crash Tuesday morning in Sumter County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Billy E. Evans, 77, of Webster, was driving a Lincoln Town Car north on U.S. Highway 301 near County Road 652D around 10 a.m. when Mary E. Huggins, 75, of Webster, crossed the center line and struck the Lincoln head on.

A passenger in the Lincoln, Nannette Carter Evans, of Webster, died at the scene.

Billy E. Evans was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center, and Huggins was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson.
