Lebanon, ME : North Berwick woman dies following car crash on Little River Road Wednesday night, July 6, 2016
Police are investigating whether a North Berwick woman who died following a crash on Little River Road Wednesday night suffered from a medical condition.
Gloria Dubois, 65, went into cardiac arrest after she was freed from her vehicle by emergency medical personnel, according to a news release issued this morning by Maine Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.
Maine State Police troopers and Lebanon Rescue responded to Little River Road about 9:30 p.m.
McCausland said Dubois was traveling south on Little River Road when she lost control of her vehicle while entering a private driveway, and struck a fence and a tree. Her car overturned.
Upon arrival of medical personnel, Dubois was alert but trapped in the vehicle. After being freed, she went into cardiac arrest and could not be revived, McCausland said.
Family members told investigators the woman may have been suffering from a medical condition prior to the crash.
McCausland said Trooper Michael Lane is the primary investigating officer and will continue work with the medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of the crash and Dubois’ death.
