Montgomery, AL : Woman, 21, killed when car overturns off bridge on April, Sunday 2nd 2017

A young Nauvoo woman was killed Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Walker County.

Alabama State Troopers identified the woman as Trisha Nicole Sims. She was 21.

The accident happened about 8 a.m. on Sandcut Road, one mile south of Nauvoo, said Senior Trooper Johnathan Appling. Sims was driving a 2002 Honda Accord that left the roadway and overturned off of a bridge.

Appling said she was pronounced dead on the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
