Columbus, OH : A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on April, Monday 17th 2017

A woman was killed Monday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Lockbourne Road in southern Franklin County.

Lori L. Spears, 54, of Columbus was driving a 1999 Chevy Suburban north in the 4600 block of Lockbourne Road, veered off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree, according the Franklin County sheriff’s office.

The crash occurred shortly before 9 a.m. just south of Rathmell Road in Hamilton Township, according to the sheriff’s office.

Spears, who was not wearing her seatbelt at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene by Hamilton Township medics.

The crash remains under investigation.
