Police say multiple people were injured after a three-car accident Monday evening in Sioux Falls.
Officers reported to the scene of a crash at West Russell Street and North Kiwanis Avenue at about 5 p.m., according to a release from the Sioux Falls Police Department.
A Ford Focus driven by an 18-year-old man was eastbound on Russell when it rear-ended a pickup truck, the release said.
The Focus then crossed the median and struck a Chevy Trailblazer.
Police said the occupants of the pickup truck and Trailblazer were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, and the 18-year-old driver of the Focus taken in for serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
The 18-year-old was cited for reckless driving, as well as multiple other charges.
