OAKLAND, CA : Woman killed in Oakland traffic crash on Middle Harbor Road on Saturday, 22nd February, 2020

A 39-year-old woman died after her vehicle hit a parked trailer late Saturday on Middle Harbor Road at the Port of Oakland, authorities said Sunday.

Her name has not been released.

The collision happened about 11:48 p.m. Saturday in the 2500 block of Middle Harbor Road, near the west gate entrance to the Oakland International Container Terminal.

The woman was driving eastbound on Middle Harbor when she collided with a trailer parked in the road. The impact sent her vehicle flying into a nearby fence, according to police.

She was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:04 a.m. Sunday. No one else was reported injured.
