West Palm Beach, FL : 8 injured including 4 children in West Palm Beach wreck on Thursday, February 9, 2017

Four children were among eight people injured in a two-car rollover wreck at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Ware Drive, according to city fire-rescue.

Congress is currently closed north of Okeechobee Boulevard.

Two of the children were rushed to the hospital as trauma patients, according to a fire-rescue spokeswoman. Assistant Chief Diana Matty said one of the children was pinned under a vehicle when it rolled over, and both children were ejected.

Kernisha Zephirin heard the crash from her nearby home as she was watching TV.

She walked outside and saw a woman holding a child covered in blood. The woman asked Zephirin to hold the baby as she called 911.

Zephirin said the mother yelled, “Come help me! My baby is under the car!”

Zephirin said the child she was asked to watch kept crying as fire-rescue crews arrived.
