Cape Coral, FL : Five people injured in a single-vehicle, rollover crash on Kismet Parkway on Saturday, April 30, 2016

Cape Coral police are investigating a single-vehicle, rollover crash Saturday that sent five people, including three children, to the hospital.

The crash occurred just after 4 p.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of Kismet Parkway East.

A red Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Katherine Ann Wortman, 29, was traveling eastbound on Kismet Parkway when it left the road. Wortman veered back onto the roadway and the vehicle entered the median, rolling over multiple times, ejecting Wortman and . The vehicle left the median and roll-ed over multiple times, ejecting the driver and a 25-year-old male passenger. Three child passengers, an 8-year-old girl and 6- and 5-year-old boys remained in the vehicle.

Wortman sustained critical injuries and the unidentified male passenger sustained life-threatening injuries. Both were trauma-alerted to the hospital. The 5-year-old boy suffered a broken collarbone and the other two children each sustained minor injuries.
