A driver was killed in a crash on Tyree Springs Road in Sumner County Monday afternoon.
Sumner County Sheriff Sonny Weatherford said the crash happened in the 3400 block of Tyree Springs Road.
Weatherford said around 2:30 p.m., a man driving a 2003 Toyota Camry on the northbound lane of Tyree Springs Road crossed into the southbound lane and struck a 2011 Jeep.
The driver of the Camry was killed. The victim was later identified as 44-year-old Roy Ratliff of Red Boiling Springs.
John Carroll, the driver of the Jeep, was injured and taken to Skyline Medical Center. His condition is unknown at this time.
