Port Edwards ,WI : Motorcyclist killed in crash with car in central Wisconsin, other driver injured on Saturday night ,July 25th 2015

A 38-year-old man has died after a car collided with the motorcycle he was riding in central Wisconsin.

The Wood County Sheriff's Department says the man from Nekoosa was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday night in Port Edwards. The department said in a news release that the motorcycle slowed down near an intersection, and a car collided with the back of it.

According to the department, a 29-year-old woman driving the car was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

News-Herald Media (http://mnhne.ws/1IAoDfQ ) reports authorities do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, but that the incident is under investigation.
