Police say a child died and seven other people were injured in a motor vehicle accident in Plainfield.
Police say a minivan collided with a car at the intersection of Arlington Avenue and West 9th Street around 7:20 a.m. Monday.
Police tell the Home News Tribune the crash caused the minivan to roll over, killing the 10-year-old.
The child's name and sex have not been released.
Six other children, ranging in age from 6 to 16, along with the two drivers were taken to hospitals. The extent of their injuries was not available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
