Omaha, NE : 2 people in critical condition after 3-vehicle crash at 153rd and Q Streets on Monday, January 30th 2017
A three-vehicle crash Monday night resulted in the hospitalization of three people - two of them in critical condition.
The crash took place at 153rd and Q Streets, about 7:50 p.m.
According to police, a Dodge Ram B1500 work van eastbound on Q Street ran a red light at the intersection and T-boned a northbound black 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup.
The impact knocked the pickup across the median into the westbound lanes, where it struck a black Lincoln MKZ sedan, said Sgt. Chuck Casey of the Omaha Police Department. The pickup then hit a pole on the north side of Q.
The driver of the van, Troy A. Nelson Jr., 25, was treated at the Nebraska Medical Center for a broken femur. Carrie Vanschoiack, 48, the driver of the pickup, was treated at Creighton University Medical Center for broken ribs. The driver of the Lincoln, Haizhen Zhong, 45, was treated at Nebraska Medical Center for shoulder, chest and neck pain.
