Greenfield, MA : One person injured in two-car crash in Gill Wednesday morning, July 13, 2016

One person was sent to the hospital with apparently minor injuries following a two-car crash in Gill Wednesday morning.

Gill Police Chief David Hastings said a car heading east on Route 2 near the bridge between Turners Falls and Gill tried to turn onto Main Road and struck another car traveling west into Greenfield around 9:45 a.m.

The driver of the westbound car was uninjured, but his female passenger was taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center with minor injuries by Medcare Ambulance, Hastings said.

The driver of the turning car was also uninjured. Both vehicles sustained major front-end damage.
