A packed school bus collided with a car in Homer Township Thursday afternoon. Three students and the bus driver suffered minor injuries, while the two people in the car were taken to the hospital, authorities said.

A school bus loaded with pupils from Homer Glen's Schilling School was involved in a crash Thursday afternoon, sending six people, including three youngsters, to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

Students were scared and shaken, but for the most part all escaped injury, said relieved parents, who quickly arrived on the scene at Cedar Road and Victoria Crossing.

"By the grace of God, they are all OK," parent Gina Razik said. "When you see the emergency lights flashing and know your kid is on that bus, it's scary as hell."
