Springfield,MO : Pedestrian killed after being hit by car in Springfield on December, Sunday 24th 2017

Steven Mayer, 26, of Fair Grove, was hit by a car while walking along the road and was pronounced dead at the scene.

It happened early Sunday morning at the intersection of Kansas Expressway and Mt. Vernon.

The accident closed all northbound lanes on Kansas Expressway from Grand to Mt. Vernon for several hours.

Police do not suspect alcohol was a factor.
