Colorado City,CO : Lorain crash sends 1 to hospital on August, Wednesday 30th 2017

A car crash involving a suspected drunken driver sent one person to the hospital Wednesday night.

The accident occurred just after 9 p.m. at the intersection of Colorado and New Jersey avenues.

Police on the scene said the driver of a white Buick, which had rolled over on Colorado Avenue, was hit by a man driving a van who left the scene.

The van driver was found on New Hampshire Avenue and taken into custody and was suspected of being under the influence.

Numerous bystanders stood watching as the car was flipped onto its tires again and loaded onto a flatbed tow truck.

Additional information such as names of those involved was not immediately available.
