New Sharon, IA : Three brothers killed car collision with a truck on Thursday August 6th 2015
The three boys killed in a car collision with a truck in southern Iowa Thursday were brothers.
School officials at North Mahaska School District say the brothers attended schools there. Crisis counseling was offered for students and families at New Sharon elementary and high schools on Friday.
An Iowa State Patrol report says a car driven by 16-year-old Jamie Singletary collided at a rural intersection of two gravel roads with a rock truck. Singletary and his brothers, 13-year-old Carson Singletary and 10-year-old Christian Singletary died in the crash.
The accident occurred about 12:55 p.m. Thursday near New Sharon in Mahaska County. The patrol says the 41-year-old truck driver Shawn Schippers wasn't injured.
