Two-car crash spills oil on Route 33

Police reported a two-car crash on Route 33 on Friday night. Police said a truck driver from Lehigh County was attempting to pass a car in the right lane when he slid on the icy roadway.

The tractor-trailer then struck the car it was passing, a 2010 Ford Fusion driven by a Stroudsburg woman. Both cars ended up off the road. The truck's oil pan was damaged, leaking oil onto the roadway.

No one was hurt in the crash. The truck driver was cited for failing to drive at a safe speed.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Schlier's Towing cleaned up oil on the road.
