Two vehicles were involved in a crash on Saturday at 5:47 p.m. in Marblehead.
Spencer Eller, 23, Marblehead was traveling east on Port Clinton Eastern and was waiting to turn left onto Von Glahn Road and was struck by John Seamon, 76, Marblehead also traveling eastbound. After striking Eller, Seamon went off the right side of the road striking a fire hydrant and a bush.
The 2002 Mercury Sable, owned by Seamon, sustained damage to the front and was towed from the scene by Don’s Towing. The 2003 Saturn L300, owned by Eller sustained minor damage and was able to be driven from the scene.
Seamon received minor injuries but refused treatment.
According to Trooper Daniel Battistone of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Seamon was cited for assured clear distance.
