WOODSTOCK TWP, KY : Two injured in Sunday’s one-vehicle crash on Sunday, September 17th 2017
Two people were injured, one seriously, in a one-vehicle crash Sunday in which police determined alcohol was a contributing factor.
Alex Timm Meiring, 23, of Cement City was driving east on Taylor Road, near Miller Highway, at 12:30 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle. It left the roadway and struck two trees before coming to rest back on the roadway, according to a report released Monday by the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office.
Meiring was issued a citation for driving while intoxicated. Blood-alcohol results were pending as of Monday. Meiring was treated at the scene by Addison Fire Department rescue personnel for minor injuries.
His passenger, Troy Lee Ebernez, 24, of Louisville, Kentucky, sustained severe leg, hip and face injuries. He was transported by Jackson Community Ambulance to Henry Ford Allegiance Health System in Jackson for treatment
