HIDALGO COUNTY, TX : One man died after a three-vehicle crash on Saturday, June 24, 2017

New Mexico State Police report one man died after a three-vehicle crash Saturday morning on a stretch of Interstate 10 known for deadly dust storms.

Jose R. Reyna, 71, of Decatur, Alabama, was killed when the passenger car he was driving slammed into the back of another passenger car that had rear-ended a semi-trailer. The apparent cause of the crash was a dust storm causing limited visibility, police said.

The crash happened about 8:30 a.m. near Mile Marker 11 on I-10. The site is nearby the location of a deadly 25-vehicle pile-up during a dust storm Monday.

The crashes remain under investigation, police said.
