Two people were killed Thursday after a vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 81 in Cumberland County, just north of Franklin County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash occurred at the 26 mile-marker Thursday at about 8:48 p.m., police said in a news release.
Two females died in the crash after their northbound vehicle crossed the center median and traveled into the southbound lanes. The vehicle was then struck by a truck traveling southbound on I-81, the release said.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured in the incident, the release said.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
