Jurupa,CA : Jurupa Valley pedestrian killed night on May,Sunday 27th 2018

A 41-year-old man died in a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision Saturday night in Jurupa Valley, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said Sunday.

The pedestrian was identified by the Coroner’s Bureau as Albert Renee Zaragoza of Jurupa Valley.

A Sheriff’s statement said deputies responded to Van Buren Boulevard at Bellegrave Avenue at 10:29 p.m. and found a pedestrian with major injuries in the roadway. He died despite life-saving efforts by bystanders and emergency personnel.

“The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and stayed on scene for the investigation,” the statement said, adding drugs and alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the incident.

An investigation was launched to determine what caused the collision.
